Some may say that I am a strict mom. There’s certain things that I don’t want my kids to have or do. But it’s only because I have their best interest at heart.
One thing that I am strict on, is there an intake of soda. Soda is one of the worst things that you can give your child. It’s full of sugar and sodium and caffeine and everything that children don’t need. No sometimes it’s OK to have in moderation. So I use it as a treat for my kids. If they have been good or we go out somewhere, I will let them have Sprite or Rootbeer. Particularly because it’s caffeine free.
At home we drink flavored water. What it is is it’s just flavored sparkling water. It has no sugar,no sodium, no caffeine, no calories, it’s just good for you. But it gives the illusion of having soda.
The one that we drink is the Walmart brand, Clear American. End it has all different kinds of flavors like cherry limeade, cherry vanilla, lime, lemon, pineapple coconut, tangerine mango, strawberry, strawberries and cream, Fiji apple, white grape, and more. And I’m telling you it’s exactly like you’re drinking soda.
I know people say, but sparkling water is bad for kids teeth because of the carbonation. Well it’s a give or take. You either give them a soda Or juice which is bad for their teeth with all the sugar or you give them sparkling water which has a little bit of carbonation.
Kids don’t really care for water. I know I never did. So this is the best way for me to get my children to drink water.
