So I did it. I opened my clothing store on October 19th. And the reception was great. It’s pretty great owning your own business and not having to report to anyone. Hopefully it just gets better and better. Fingers Crossed.
I received my first monthly Jewelry Box from Pura Vida today. I am so impressed.
The box it came in is beautiful. They way it was put together and wrapped up, it’s such high quality. You can tell this company cares a lot about the impression they make.
The box has a magnetic closure.
The papers inside are so cute. It looks like something you would get from California. (Which I am originally from California.)
They included this cute sticker.
Such attention to detail.
Wow, each piece of jewelry came in it’s own pouch.
It’s so beautiful. And it’s opal, my birthstone.
I love it.
They even sent me all these awesome stickers.
All in all, I am so pleased with this box. And this subscription. I love the California vibe of it. I can’t wait to see next months box.

I’m about to try to make my dream come true. I have dreamed about owning a boutique for a long time. So now, I’m getting my business plan together to see if I can make this happen.
I already have a location picked out in my town that completes in Jan 2020. They will build it to how I want it for no extra charge. Which is amazing. I already have wholesalers picked out. And I know exactly how I want it to look. I even put it out there on a local town group I’m in and I got over 107 positive reactions. And they are still coming in.
I really hope I can make this happen. This is what I’ve always wanted to do. So please say a prayer for me or send those good vibes my way. I’d really appreciate it.
My oldest has been bugging me for a few weeks now to take her to H&M. I get a kick out of that because that has been one of my favorite stores for some time now. She keeps getting on her dad’s phone and sending me pictures of outfits from there that she likes.
So today, we all piled in the car and drove to Joplin, Missouri to go to H&M. She was so excited. We let her and her sister pick out two outfits and a pair of shoes. As long as they promised to not wear them right now because they are for the first day of school.
I’ll post a new post tomorrow with pics of what they got. It’s so awesome seeing them pick out their own outfits and getting a sense of their own style.
So look at me. Do I look like your grandma’s Avon lady? Heck no. But Avon isn’t like it was when your grandma bought it.
Not only have they stepped their game up in beauty and make-up. They have stepped it up in fashion and home goods as well.

My friends told me about Poshmark. I have clothes and some home goods I’m trying to sell and I’m not on social media like Facebook, so I can’t use the Yardsale site.
